Grappling Association of Maharashtra (GAM) is the official governing body for Grappling Sports in the state of Maharashtra. GAM is a recognized State Unit under the Grappling Federation of India (GFI), which is the only national governing body for Grappling in India recognized by United World Wrestling (UWW) — the international federation for Grappling & Wrestling.

The Grappling Association of Maharashtra works towards the promotion, regulation, and development of Grappling at all levels across the state — from grassroots to elite. GAM is committed to creating opportunities for athletes, coaches, and officials through training programs, state championships, and national-level participation.

We align with the vision of the Grappling Federation of India to nurture grapplers from school-level to professional circuits, and to promote Grappling as a sport that embodies the values of discipline, fitness, respect, and Olympic spirit. Our association also supports inclusion in major multi-sport events like School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and All India Inter-University (AIU) competitions.

Through structured development, transparency, and adherence to international standards set by UWW and UWW Asia, the Grappling Association of Maharashtra is dedicated to empowering the next generation of grapplers in the state and taking Maharashtra to new heights on national and international platforms.
